Last week various articles were published about a large data breach of biometric data. GPS (GPS time) was also mentioned therein. This is because a few years ago we conducted a test with the Suprema database, naturally with our own data. The test already showed that problems could occur and that is why we never implemented this at our customers. All biometric data collected via the 'Biostar 2' is always stored locally with the customer. This makes them safe and not involved in the recent data breach. This is also confirmed by the discoverers of the data breach (Article 1).
